A flood door is a specially designed external door that provides a watertight seal to prevent floodwater from entering a property. Unlike standard doors, flood doors are built with reinforced frames, heavy-duty seals, and compression locking systems to withstand water pressure during a flood event. They are permanently fitted and function like a regular door in daily use, but automatically form a barrier when closed and locked.
