Water Resource Associates has undertaken flood risk assessments for property owners and a range of clients including architects, planning consultants and developers. Since the January 2003 floods, the provision of flood risk reports has been a growing area of our business, and the company is well-placed to provide a rapid-response to clients in the process of buying and selling houses, obtaining insurance, considering flood alleviation measures, developing new infrastructure or facing legal issues relating to flooding.
In particular WRA LLP offer property level flood risk surveys chiefly aimed at the domestic sector but also for commercial, agricultural and industrial properties, public buildings and other public areas such as transport and other infrastructure. These surveys always involve fieldwork at the site to measure and inspect features and are therefore more comprehensive than simple desk based assessments making use of published environmental data which can be highly inaccurate.
WRA also undertakes SUDS designs, surface water management plans and groundwater investigation. Our partners and associates are able to provide expert advice to local residents groups concerned about the impacts of new developments such as housing estates on the risk of flooding.
